Union Mission has been caring for Savannah’s homeless community for 80 years, offering emergency, transitional and
permanent housing, as well as comprehensive wrap-around services, including HIV/AIDS services, employment training,
and counseling services. Thanks to the community’s financial and volunteer support, over the past five years 73% of our
clients exited emergency services into safe, habitable living arrangements. Your support makes a difference and your
generosity helps those individuals and families to rebuild their lives.
Unfortunately, the need is still great. Savannah has an overall poverty rate of 26% and 33.4% of Savannah’s children live
in poverty. Nearly 4,000 individuals are homeless in the greater Savannah area. But thanks to you, there is hope….
Since 1936, Union Mission, Inc. has worked to prevent and end homelessness in the greater Savannah area. We are profoundly grateful to you for making our work possible. Thank you for helping ensure that those who are homeless is Savannah have a choice to make a change and leave homelessness behind.
